BLOODY BELGIAN

A boutique beer to commemorate the Belgian refugees or ‘Bloody Belgians’ as they were known, who lived and worked in the borough of Richmond during the First World War.

Inspired by traditional Belgian typefaces and old war telegram messages, RSD created four labels, each telling the story of a different ‘Bloody Belgian’. The packaging uses the colours of the Belgian flag and a traditional blackletter typeface for the brand mark.
